Lets discuss the concept of adoption. With Fathers Day just passing, I felt this conversation was relevant. Many of us may have not grew up with out our biological fathers in our homes and so the concept of a loving father who is always around may be foreign to us. However we see in scripture specifically Romans 8:15 the concept of adoption, and the truth that when believers accept this adoption they then can call God 'Abba, Father'. 

But what exactly does this mean?

We are engulfed in a culture that is doing everything it can do to fit in. Everyone wants to feel known and loved. If only we realized that there is a God who understands everything about us; knows are bad and our good, yet He still Loves us. How can you translate that to others this week?

We have an amazing ability to change the culture around us. However we must understand that have access to a limitless reservoir of diving power. This power is not something that we have earned but something that is given to us through grace! 

Tap into this power starting today. Challenge yourself to trust God to use you in a great way to change those around you this week. 

Lets wake up the world! 

‘Christ...forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code...that was against us...He took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.’

Even when those around you persecute you and look to crucify your character, remain encouraged, carry your cross, and watch how God will disarm the powers and authorities and allow you to triumph over them. 

Colored Suits, Easter Eggs and Peeps? What is the real meaning of Easter? 

In Old Testament times, the priest would bring bulls, goats or a spotless lamb without any blemishes to be sacrificed as a sin offering for himself and for the people. The blood would purify and make atonement (forgive, make amends) for their sins. This was the old order of atonement. When Jesus came, He was a representation of the sacrificial lamb to take away the sins of the world. He was the final sacrifice. We no longer have to sacrifice animals to make atonement for our sins. Jesus has done this once and for all. It's His blood that cleanses us from all sin.
