Wake Up The World: Why Read?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

All believers should have a desire to want to know the Word of God, and why we believe. We should never allow the world, Hollywood, or anything outside of Scripture be our source of biblical truth. 

Wake Up The World: Any Given Season

Seasons in my our lives are uncontrollable. There are certain seasons that will be longer than others. But it's all under GODS control. 

Daniel 2:21 God is in ultimate control. They are often confusing seasons. And understanding doesn't happen until after it's over. 

Ecclesiastes 3:11 God does it on his time and we don't know why he's doing what he does. 

But God has a purpose for this season. Romans 8:28 all things that happen. Working For IF we love God and fitting in HIS plan. 

Wake Up The World : Moving Forward: Yaves

Philippians 3:12-14 ESV 

"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Sometimes the hardest decisions in life involve leaving or letting go of a familiar or comfortable situation. The fear of the unknown can often be more paralyzing then we would like to admit and this type of paralysis causes us to sit stuck in our old habits. But God never intended for us to remain the same and never change. The writer Paul furthers this point by writing but be Yè transformed by the renewing of the mind, 

Wake Up The World : The Counsel: Yaves

Psalms 33:11 is a reminder that the counsel of the Lord stands forever. Jesus had to humble himself, step away from the rest of busy world around him and seek the face of God.  Humility is an attribute that we should seek to nurture; humility helps in our integrity. I believe that all sin stems from pride. We worry more about ourselves than the how are actions affect God and others. Humility is necessary as a leader with integrity. 

Wake Up The World: The Need

Mt 6:26

The Lord has made a promise to you this week, specifically that there is nothing that you need, that he has not already provided provision for you. The trick of it all, is to visualize that he has already handled your need. Once you have a vision of his provision, you can then begin to walk in that truth through faith. It is the perfect combination of putting your faith with works.

Wake Up The World:Hearing God's Voice:Yaves

When is hearing God's voice most important in our lives? 

“His sheep follow him because they know his voice.”    

Jn 10:4 NIV

We must learn to live a life based on the direction that God has provided for our lives. We should focus on discovering what God has prepared for us, as opposed to trying to make decisions on what WE think He wants us to do. These are two totally different things. This devotional goes back to something I discussed previous, and that is changing your thought process to see yourself as God sees you.

When we look in the mirror each morning to examine how messed up we look, how crazy our hair is, or how out of place our clothes may be, there is an examination that takes place.

The majority of people around us are living lives that someone else has mapped out for them. Their identy is wrapped up in the oppinions of their parents, friends, media, and the false assumptions of life. However if we were to take a moment, readjust our thinking, and ask ourselves "What does God think of me?" we can save ourselves from a life of living as someone else.
